SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
We are looking for brilliant, disciplined, and deserving young women who are ready to excel, and to give back. Here is exactly what we look for.
Selection is merit-based, transparent, and conducted entirely independently of school faculty. Here are the four pillars of eligibility.
Academic Excellence
- Minimum of six A1 grades total in the most recent term
- At least 3 A1s in Core Subjects (English, Maths, Science, Social Studies)
- At least 3 A1s in Elective Subjects specific to the student's programme track.
- Grades must be maintained each term for scholarship renewal
- Consistent academic upward trajectory preferred
Student Profile
- Female student currently enrolled at Keta Senior High Technical School
- Currently in Form 1 or Form 2
- From a low-income family background, verified during the application process
- Demonstrated disciplined attendance record, minimal unexcused absences
- Strong character reference from a current teacher
Commitment & Service
- Willingness to serve as academic tutor to junior students
- Active engagement in community or voluntary service
- Membership in the Sankofa Club for a minimum of 3 years
- Participation in mentorship workshops and career planning sessions
- Completion and commitment to a Personal Life Plan
Monitoring & Renewal
- Scholars undergo Interim Reviews each term
- Full Annual Evaluation at the end of each academic year
- Minimum of six A1s must be maintained to retain the scholarship
- Foundation provides timely academic support where performance slips
- Reports submitted by the School Liaison Officer each term
A Note on Support
We recognize that academic performance may change, but academic excellence remains the cornerstone of this scholarship. Scholars are expected to meet renewal criteria as a reflection of their dedication and growth. When challenges arise, the Foundation stands beside each scholar—offering tutoring support, mentorship, and collaboration with school liaisons to uncover and overcome obstacles. Our commitment is unwavering: to empower every scholar to rise, meet the standards of excellence, and continue earning the privilege of this scholarship through resilience and achievement.

Official academic transcript from Keta Senior High Technical School
Recommendation Letter
A letter from a current teacher attesting to character and academic standing
Personal Life Plan
A written plan outlining the applicant's academic goals, values, and vision for her future
Valid IDs
School-issued ID and one government-issued identification document
Prepare Documents

Verification
A dedicated Keta school liaison officer will help verify applicants’ details and academic standing, helping to guide the process with care and clarity.
Review & Selection
An independent committee carefully reviews scholarship applications and particpating scholarship recipients to identify qualifying recipients to be awarded the IAH Scholarship.
